Peggy married Carroll Rosamond, her high school sweetheart, and they had a baby girl, Jo Carol. The couple then moved to Jackson, Mississippi, where Peggy worked as an administrative assistant.
The couple moved to Dallas, Texas, in the 1980s and Peggy became assistant to the CEO of J.W. Bateson, the construction firm that built Texas Stadium. She worked at Bateson until her retirement.
Peggy and Carroll moved to Madison, Mississippi, after retirement to be closer to family, and after Carroll’s passing in 2021, Peggy moved to The Heritage at Brentwood in 2022.
Peggy is survived by a daughter, Jo Carol Stone, of Madison, Mississippi, and a granddaughter, Leah Schmidt (Jeff), of Brentwood, Tennessee, along with two great-grandsons, Cade and Chandler Harris. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Jewel Brodnax of Weir, Mississippi, and her beloved husband, Carroll Rosamond.
Peggy loved to laugh and was charismatic and friendly to all. She will be missed by many.
