

Perry Devard Vance passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, MS. Devard was born December 24, 1931 in White Deer, TX. He lived in Madison, MS with his wife of 70 years Beverly Jean Randall Vance.
Devard served his country and was wounded in the war with Korea for which he received the Purple Heart distinction. He was an avid motorcyclist spanning from his early years of short track racing to later Enduro racing with his favorite number “77.” In later years, he developed a passion for golf and photography.
Devard worked until retirement at Blackwell Chevrolet as an Audi-Mercedes specialist. He always had a smile and laugh to give to everyone. When asked how he was doing his reply was always “Doing pretty good.”
Devard is preceded in death by his parents, Perry Noah Vance and Marbeth Davis Vance.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Vance; daughter, Sandra (Tommy) Klauder of Madison, MS; three grandchildren, Amanda (Heath) Robinson of Madison, MS, Alyssha (Mark) Jeter of Madison, MS and Robert (Victoria) Klauder of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; five great grandchildren, Trenton, Leland, Clara, Christian and Charlotte.
Devard was always known as DeDe by his grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed by his family but we are so proud to be assured he loved and was loved by his Lord and Savior and today is resting in the arms of Jesus.
