
Raymond Frank Quinn, 94, died Sunday May 25, 2014 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. A private graveside service was held at Parkway Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Quinn was born June 13, 1919 in Birmingham, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Frances Quinn. After attending the University of Alabama he joined the U.S. Air Force where he served during WWII. Upon being honorably discharged from the service, he returned to Birmingham and went to work with U.S. Steel where he was a salesman with them and Mississippi was his primary territory. Later he was hired by O’Neal Steel where he opened the Jackson Facility and ran it for over 30 years.
Mr. Quinn was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson, a 32degree Mason and an active member of the Jackson Sertoma Club. He was an avid golfer and upon retirement joined the Super Coots at the Colonial Country Club. He was a huge fan of the University of Alabama where he got to meet Bear Bryant on several occasions.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Eloise Quinn, a Son, Frank Quinn and wife Theresa of Austin, TX. a granddaughter, Townes Quinn of Austin, TX.
