Rebecca Ruth Johnson Sargent

She married Dr. Sidney Albert Johnson of Bruce after he served in Korea, and lived in Jackson and Goodman Mississippi. She was active in the Ralph Humphrey chapter of the DAR, was honored as an international Life Master in Duplicate Bridge, and was an ardent Ole Miss sports fan. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren .

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dr Sidney Albert Johnson, her daughter Rebecca Diane Johnson, her son Jeffrey Lynn Johnson, her sister Thelma Bounds Mitchell, and her brothers Robert Bounds, Charles Bounds and Creston Bounds.

She is survived by her son Dr. Sidney Albert Johnson Jr., her grandchildren Sidney Albert Johnson III, Glenford Blake Johnson, Rebecca Lourene Johnson and Evan Matthew Johnson, and her sister Carolyn Bounds Groff.

Her visitation will be 5-7:00p.m. Tuesday, December 14th at Wright Ferguson in Ridgeland. Her memorial service will be Wednesday, December 15 at Wright Ferguson Ridgeland at 10a.m. Her burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Big Creek Mississippi at 3p.m. December15, 2010.
