

She was born in Collins, and was an honor graduate of Morton High School. She earned a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Mississippi.
Rexine was a member of Central Medical Auxiliary, the Jackson Cancer League and Les Amies Luncheon club, which she served as president. An avid bridge player, she belonged to numerous bridge clubs. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, and the Mississippi Conference, United Methodist Women honored her as Mission Moments Person of Honor.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. D. Chan Henry of Madison, daughter Dr. Ann Marie Lee and her husband Dr. Stephen Lee, daughter Julie Till and her husband Glen Till, all of Jackson. Grandchildren include Henry Lee, Davis Lee, Andrew Lee, Kayla Till and Trey Till. Other survivors include her sister, Jo Ann McDaniel and her husband Kent of Brandon and her brother Jeffrey Mitchell and his wife Marlene of Collins. Preceding her in death were her parents, Ann and Rexford Mitchell.
Visitation will be held tonight from 5:00 -7:00 pm at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland. The funeral service will be 11 :00 am Wednesday Oct. 13 at Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson. A 10:00 am visitation at the church will precede the service. Interment will be in the Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland.
