

Richard was born in London, England on March 23rd, 1942 during the heart of the Blitz. His parents were Mr. Hedley Walter Hall, F.R.C.S. and Mrs. Kathleen Mary Thierry Hall. He grew up in Bath, England, and attended Shebbear College in Devon, England before joining Her Royal Majesty's Grenadier Guards, Queens Company, 1st Battalion at the age of 16. After serving in anti-terrorist operations in West Africa, he returned to England and joined the Royal Corps of Transport and was also accepted into the Special Air Service.
Richard married Rita Margaret Grimes on June 5th, 1971 and they had two children, Simon & James. He worked for the British Airport Authority as Roads Traffic Controller before taking a job as chauffeur and bodyguard to Mr. Dudley Hughes and emigrating to Jackson, MS with his wife and two young children. He was a proud member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists, a graduate of the Rolls Royce Chauffeur Training Institute, and a member of the North American Grenadier Guards Association. His lifelong passion for motorcycles and automobiles was one of his greatest joys, along with his family and pets. He is survived by his wife Rita, Sons Simon and James, and Granddaughter Jade, whom he loved with all his heart and soul.
Funeral Services will be held at Parkway Funeral Home, 1161 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, MS 39157 on Tuesday, March 29th 2016 at 2pm, with a visitation preceding on Monday, March 28th 2016 from 6pm - 8pm at the same location.
