Dr. Miller was not only a distinguished, caring, and talented surgeon, he was an exemplary person and highly respected teacher. I was privileged to be a student when he first came to the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. Largely because of his influence, I decided on a career in Pediatric Surgery. So often with patients or parents, I would recall and try to practice "what would Dr. Miller do or say." In so many ways, he made a difference in this world. Dr. Miller leaves an admirable legacy and fond remembrance.
