He attended Saint Joseph High School and Mississippi State University. Ricky married his high school sweetheart, Karen Wilson and together they had 2 children, Christie and Randy.
He worked as an Independent Petroleum Landman for over 35 years. Ricky was a proud member of MAPL.
He is survived by his wife Karen and children, Christie McFadden (Jason) and Randy Rossie (Dion Thornton) and grand children: Brittan, Harley, and Saylor McFadden; also his mother Marjorie Turk, brother Paul Rossie (M’Lou), sisters Barbara Dyer and Gail Dickinson, sister-in-law Martha Rossie and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Dr. Emmett Rossie and brother Emmett “Rusty” Rossie Jr.
Funeral services will be held at Parkway Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 2:00 with visitation beforehand at noon.
Memorial donations may be made in Ricky’s name to St. Jude’s. The family would like to thank the staff of Brandon Court Nursing Home and PAX Hospice for their compassion and outstanding care.
