Dick was a beloved cousin and a reconteur of the first water. Rare are those who accomplish great things with such humility and good humor. Betty and I share Lester's sorrow, the depths of which only she can know in the passing of a good and decent man.

Dick was a great friend, a great entertainer with his delightful, historical, musical stories and a great community supporter and lover of the Arts. He was also a remarkable Chef and his oyster casserole was a super premier delight at Christmas! Dick will be greatly missed, but not forgotten.
Lester, we are here for you with our Love, Prayers and Support!

I have been friends with Dick starting in Bailey Jr. High, Murrah H.S., and Ole Miss. At Ole Miss Dick and I were among the 7 1957 Murrah graduates who pledged KA. When We both lived in the KA house we became still closer friends. Dick and I were the last two survivors of the 7 KA Brothers. .We talked last about a year ago and made a 10 year agreement that neither of us would be the first to go. I always thought I would be the one to break the agreement! Dick was a unique, bright and good person. I will miss him. Lee Lipscomb

No one has the perfect words to make the sadness go away with the lost of a close and trusted friend of many years but my prayer is that all find comfort in knowing that Dick is with the Lord.
