
Robert “Bob” King Hester, age 29, died Sunday, May 23, 2010 in Madison. Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home Highland Colony Chapel in Ridgeland, MS. Burial will follow in Parkway Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
Bob was born on June 14, 1980 in Natchez, MS. He graduated with honors from Natchez High School and was a class favorite. Bob attended Governors School in Columbus and was an Eagle Scout in Troop 168 in Natchez. He graduated from Copiah-Lincoln Community College with honors and attended The University of Southern Mississippi. He earned his BSN from Alcorn State University.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a proud lifetime member of the NRA, who truly wanted the Bill of Rights preserved for the future. He was an avid health and fitness enthusiast. He did a lot of volunteer work with individuals with special needs.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William A. and Ellie K. Hester of Jackson, MS, and his maternal grandparents, Wallace G. and Evelyn T. Carpenter of Sidon, MS.
Survivors include his parents, William and Cherlyn Hester of Madison, formerly of Natchez. A brother, W. Stewart Hester of Madison and his dog, Bella. He was a beloved son, brother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
