Aka Bobby, Cabo Bob-O, THE Blue Angel, Bob-O, father, brother, grandfather, voice of logic, and loyal friend, 72, was dealt Aces and 8’s July 18, 2018 at UMC in Jackson MS, leaving behind a legacy he would proudly describe as both well preserved and better than average. Bobby’s gentleness, larger than life persona, and trademark quick wit will not soon be forgotten.
He was born October 24, 1945 to Sarah and Bill Clements of Jackson, MS. He is survived by his beloved wife OF 29 years, Barre Clements of Madison; his four adored daughters: Christi Clements of Hattiesburg, Robin Guy (Christan Guy) of Brandon, Darra Woolman of America, and CJ Woolman of Nashville; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four insanely amazing brothers, Billy Clements, Gene Clements, Jimmy Clements, and Johnny Clements; multiple nieces and nephews, and too many friends to count that would never fold on him.
Bobby started his career owning a bait and tackle shop in Ridgeland, MS and ended his career as the owner of Clements Cadillac, just blocks away from that very location, in 2007. Between these times he was also the Vice President of Green Acres and the Director of Sales of McCarty Foods. Bobby was rumored to be an avid mathematician, world traveler, and fluent in many languages such as sarcasm, brutal honesty, and an Ancient unknown language that came out on the weekends, and which was only clearly understood by his nearest and dearest friends. It is also rumored that Bobby owned stock in both Diet Coke and Jack Daniels. If this allegation is true that would mean he is insanely wealthy. With the chips stacked in his favor, Bobby who never met a stranger, was willing to offer up a lending hand with an open heart and mind and always believed there is no such thing as a problem, but only solutions. He always said, “If you tell me “no” then that is the moment we have started our conversation. After polling his family and friends, it has been decided Bobby’s favorite quote was, “You’d rather be lucky than good. But when your luck runs out you better be really good.” He often said this quote pertaining to the fact that he walked in to the Sheraton in the fall of 1987, where he met his baby Barre and asked her for a dance.
Pallbearers for Bobby are: Dave Clements, Mack Clements, Jeremy Clements, Chris Clements, Andrew Clements, and Ross Cook. Honorary pallbearers are: Christan Guy and Jay Clements.
Visitation will be held this Friday, July 20, 2018 from 5-7 PM and funeral services will be Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 2pm at Parkway Funeral Home on Highland Colony Parkway in Ridgeland, MS.
