Robert Lee Morrison was born on June 20, 1974, in Jackson, MS. He passed away April 20, 2021, at the age of 46, after a long stay at St. Dominic Hospital battling Covid. Rob was an amazing person - his light made everyone’s life brighter - and he will be sorely missed by his many friends and family.
Rob didn’t do any of the typical things most Southerners enjoy; he didn’t hunt or fish, and had no interest in sports at all. Instead, Rob’s passions were music, family, and learning about absolutely everything. He played bass guitar in a band in high school, and he never lost his love for music, especially live concerts. Every weekend, you would find Rob with his family just enjoying spending time together, usually on spontaneous adventures planned by him. Rob was an avid learner, interested in everything and everyone around him. His curiosity knew no bounds, and he was incredible at out of the box thinking. If a novel solution was needed, everyone knew that Rob was the one to call. Rob’s easygoing demeanor and self-deprecating humor won over even the hardest of hearts, and you would be hard pressed to find someone with a bad word to say about him.
Rob is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his children, Anna, Madison, Reed, Emma, Jake, and Kate; his parents, William Curry and Mary Jo Morrison; and his beloved granddaughter, Evelyn Redd. He is also survived by his brothers, Chris Morrison and his wife Colleen, and David Morrison and his wife Stacia; as well as his nephews, Cazden, Cash, and Jonathan.
