Robin Marbury Morris, 50, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. Surrounded by her family and loved ones, Robin remained strong in her fight until the very end.
Robin was born in Jackson, Mississippi, to Loyd and Mary Edna Marbury. She graduated from Brandon High School in 1988, and ventured on to Mississippi State University the following fall semester. In 1992, Robin received a Bachelor of Business degree in Banking and Finance from MSU and later decided to continue graduate studies at the University of Mississippi. She went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude with the Doctorate of Pharmacy degree in 1999.
Robin met her husband, Todd, while attending MSU. They married in 1995, and moved to Oxford so Robin could attend Pharmacy School. After returning to the Jackson area, they welcomed three beautiful daughters into the family: Mary Grace, Addie, and Sarah Love. Robin’s daughters were her most-prized possessions, and she was so proud of each of them.
Robin lived her life to the fullest, and always found herself surrounded by a large group of friends. Throughout her life, she remained completely devoted to her family, friends, and loved ones. Robin also enjoyed serving the community through her work as a pharmacist, assisting patients in the Hinds, Rankin, and Madison areas. She was an active member of Madison United Methodist Church, and enjoyed cheering on the MSU Bulldogs as she attended as many events as possible. She especially loved watching her daughters participate in sports, and attended every game she could, even if it meant cheering from inside the car.
Robin was preceded in death by her grandparents, Loyd and Ruth Marbury and Charles and Jessie Garrison.
Robin is survived by her husband, Todd, and three daughters, Mary Grace, Addie, and Sarah Love, her parents, Loyd and Mary Edna, brother, Drake, and sister, Jenny Marbury Miller (John). She is also survived by her father-and-mother- in law, Michael and Joan Morris, and her sister-in-law, Natalie Morris Rula (David). She is survived by nieces and nephews: John Gordon Miller, Lillie Miller, Frances Miller, Holland Rula, and Larson Rula, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends who loved her deeply.
The visitation will be on Wednesday, February 3rd at Parkway Funeral Home on Highland Colony Parkway from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Madison United Methodist Church.
