Roy Edward Conn Sr.

Roy E. (Ed) Conn passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held Friday, September 23, 2016 at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS with at 9:00 a.m. with service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date at Parkway Memorial Cemetery.

Ed was born November 13, 1931 in Atlanta, GA to Roy and Dorothy Conn who preceded him in death along with his first great grandchild, John Carter Edwards (son of Jason and Emily Edwards).

He is survived by his loving wife, Saranette (Sisi) Conn; Sons, Roy E. (Butch) Conn, Jr., David (Lynda) Conn Glenn (Margaret) Conn and daughter, Rene’ (Wesley) Edwards. He also leaves behind grandchildren; Jason (Emily) Edwards, Jaime Edwards Kennedy, Jordan (John) McGowan, Alex Conn and Peyton Conn. Brothers; Earl (Bobbie) Conn, Clifford (Judy) Conn, Sisters; Louise Crowe, Mary Ann (Ed) Parker, Martha Conn, Jane Conn and Jean Keesee and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ed retired from AT&T after 32 years. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War. He was also an avid golfer and love to watch the Atlanta Braves.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church Madison Music Ministry.
