Cissie, as she was known to everyone, was born on October 1, 1945 in Memphis, TN. to Oliver and Ruth Dickins. She graduated from Whitehaven High School in Memphis and attended Mississippi University for Women, formerly known as MS State College for Women.
Cissie married Rudy Molinaro in 1966. They raised their three children, Nick, Lucy, and Olivia, in Middleton, TN. Cissie was very involved with her children’s activities, attending football games, Girl Scout camping trips, 4-H cooking competitions, and many band trips. Cissie owned her own sewing business for years in Middleton, Cissie’s Sewing Shop. She was very active in her church, St James Episcopal Church in Bolivar, TN.
Cissie moved to Corinth, MS., with Rudy in the early 2000s and worked as a Bank Teller at Renasant Bank for many years. She worshiped at Saint Paul’s Episcopal and later First Presbyterian in Corinth. Her Christian faith was very important to her.
Beyond her career, Cissie found great joy in sewing, cooking, cannings, and being with her children and grandchildren. She loved to read, to thrift shop, and to sing - any song any time. She hosted many family holiday dinners and gatherings and was always generous with her home, her food, and herself.
She was preceded in death by Rudy Molinaro, husband, and Jim Robinson, second husband, and her beloved brother, Oliver B Dickins, Jr.
She is survived by her oldest son Nick Molinaro and wife, Cherry in Collierville, TN., and their three children and three grandchildren; daughter, Lucy and her husband, Pete Halverson, and their daughter, Camille Halverson in Jackson, MS.; and youngest daughter, Olivia and her husband, Luke Landry in Nashville, TN.
Cissie will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She will be remembered for her generosity and kindness and her love of sharing a good laugh and good food with those she loves.
A memorial will be held on October 3rd at The Dinner Bell in Corinth, Mississippi.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Meals on Wheels at https://www.mealsonwheelsamerica.org/donate/. One of her missions was to ensure that those who could not get out to eat would get a good meal and love from her.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the caregivers at Ridgeland Place, the hospice staff of Compassus care caregivers, and friends and family for their support and compassion during this time.
