Shirley A. Dungan, 76, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at River Oaks - Crossgates Hospital. Visitation will be 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church preceded by visitation at 9:30 a.m. Graveside services will be at 12:00 p.m. at Bethesda Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Edwards.
A long-time resident of the Newman community, Shirley relocated to Madison in 2004 to be closer to her family. She became a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church where she was active in Sunday school and loved being with her “keenager” friends.
Shirley is proceeded in death by her husband, Robert D. Dungan and parents Mr. and Mrs. Robin Wester and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Ramphrey. Survivors include son, Mark (Donna) Dungan of Madison, MS, daugther Robin (Sloan) Kritser of Amarillo, TX, brother Malcolm (Becky) Ramphrey of Bastrop, LA and grandchildren Justin and Mallory of Madison, MS. Step sons include Danny, Ricky and James Dungan.
