Stephen was born in Jackson, Mississippi on January 18, 1952 to Audrey Hemphill Spencer and Harold Spencer. He served in the United States Air Force as a jet engine mechanic.
Stephen is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Spencer and Audrey Spencer Davis and his stepfather, Fred E. Davis.
He is survived by his brother, Michael L. Spencer (Trudy); sister, Lisa Spencer Mahaffey; nieces, Amanda Williams (Derek), Melissa Hopkins (Justin), Morgan Wigley (Bo), Bethany Haggard (Witt), and Rebekah Mahaffey; and many great nieces and nephews.
A committal service will take place at the pavilion at Lakewood Memorial Park, 6000 Clinton Blvd. Jackson, MS 39206, on Friday, January 5, 2023 at 2:00 pm.
