Steven Craig Lofton

Steven Craig Lofton, 43, died Wednesday Oct. 13, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held Saturday October 16, 2010 from the chapel of Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home on Highland Colony Parkway. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00pm till 7:00pm and Saturday at 9:00am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jessamine Cemetery, Ridgeland, MS.

Mr. Lofton, a lifelong resident of Ridgeland, was a graduate of Madison Ridgeland Academy and Mississippi State University where he received his Masters in Civil Engineering and was pursuing his PhD. through Texas A&M. He was currently working with the Army Corp of Engineers in Vicksburg.

He was a professional bass player and enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and band members, he, also, enjoyed traveling, golf and loved his Mississippi State Football.

Mr. Lofton was preceded in death by his mother, Emily Sue Lofton. He is survived by his wife Sharon Lofton of Ridgeland; his father, Edwin Lofton of Pearl; a brother, Michael Lofton and his wife Debra and their children Megan and Adam of Chattanooga, TN; an Aunt, Bobbie Watkins and her husband Binford of Ridgeland; and a cousin Cindy Watkins Bryant and her family.
