Ted Dickerson

Theodore "Ted" Dickerson, 87, a resident of Jackson Mississippi, passed away on September 5th, 2026, at approximately 10:40pm, at St. Dominics Hospital in Jackson Mississippi, leaving behind a life marked by innovation, accomplishments and a love for family. Ted was born in Pricedale, Mississippi on May 26, 1939, to Thomas Theodore "Pete" Dickerson and Etta Tullos Dickerson.

Ted earned an Associate of Science Degree from Southwest Mississippi Junior College before continuing his education at the University of Mississippi where he was valedictorian and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering. Ted built a long and distinguished career in the Chemical Industry. He began his career with Cities Service Company (Citco), ultimately serving as Senior Vice President of Operations in Monroe, Louisiana and Tulsa, Oklahoma for 23 years before his departure to pursue his desire to be an entrepreneur. His inventive nature and scientific inclination continued throughout his life, creating patented products, inventions, and processes, such as iron oxide and carbon black innovations, that have benefited the societies of people around the world.

Ted went on to found Product Services Company, focusing on the development of environmentally safe oil field remediation products and down hole loss circulation materials including his successful patented Oil Gator Bioremediation line of products. Ted also proudly served his country as a member of the Mississippi National Guard. Those who knew Ted knew a man of remarkable intelligence, natural athleticism, and enduring desire to understand how things worked. His expansive scientific knowledge was matched by a lifelong love of sports, particularly golf. Ted achieved the rare distinction of shooting his age of 71 on numerous occasions - an accomplishment of which he was understandably proud.

Beyond his professional achievements and his talents, Ted's greatest legacy is his family he leaves behind and the memories they shared together. Ted is survived by his wife Sharon Dickerson, his son Patrick and Michelle Dickerson of Flora, Mississippi, Zach Dickerson of Nashville Tennessee, Caleb Dickerson of Flora Mississippi, Emily Riffle of Brandon, Mississippi, Maria Dickerson-Greer and D.C. Greer of Brookhaven, Mississippi, Van Steven and Sandy Granizo-Dickerson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jason and Robyn, Thomas, Tanner and Jude Nichols of Madison, Mississippi, and Jeff and Sarah, Kate and Caroline Nichols of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and John Riffle of Terry, Mississippi.

Ted was preceded in death by his daughter Ladie Elaine Riffle, Thomas Theodore "Pete" Dickerson, Etta Tullos Dickerson and his siblings Bobbye Faye Dickerson-Greer, William Lloyd Dickerson, Jimmy Thomas Dickerson and Timothy Jones Dickerson.

Ted will be remembered for a life well lived, a mind that never stopped learning and the lasting impressions he made on those who knew and loved him. Not to mention the love he had for his Yorkshire terrier puppies Abby and Piper.

Visitation will be held at Parkway Funeral Home, 1161 Highland Colony Pkwy, Ridgeland, MS 39157, US, on Sunday September 13, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm.
