

She was born in Eagle Pass, Texas and spent much of her childhood in Miramar, Florida, a suburb of Miami, Florida. She was 56 years old. She graduated from Miramar High School in 1977. She made her home in Canton, Mississippi with husband and best friend Larry Chapman, whom she married in 1983. She was married for 32 years.
Teri graduated from Mississippi College in 1981 with a BS in Nursing. She worked for Mississippi Baptist Medical Center as a pediatric nurse for many years. She loved the children and enjoyed taking care of them. She became the facilitator on the pediatric floor and trained the new pediatric nurses. She returned to Mississippi College and earned her Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration. She taught nursing at Hinds Community College. She completed her career at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center as a Patient Representative.
Teri struggled with Rheumatoid Arthritis and other autoimmune diseases for over 28 years. She made it her mission to seek out other people with RA and help them.
She is survived by her mother Vivian Posey Hendrix of Columbus, Georgia, her husband Larry Chapman; her son Bart Chapman; her sister Colleen Mahaney (Jack) of Lizella, Georgia and Beth Green (Keith) of Montgomery, Alabama. Teri loved the Lord and lived for him daily. She was a prayer warrior with a direct connection to God’s ear. She had beautiful blue eyes and an infectious smile that would draw you to her. She was genuinely concerned and cared about every person she met. She was the best at giving you a “big hug”.
Visitation will be Sunday April 3, 2016 from 2 till 4 pm at Parkway Funeral Home, Ridgeland, MS. with Funeral services at 3Pm Monday April 4, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Madison with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Lula Cemetery.
