After working 10 years as a secretary in the War Department for the U.S. government, she was a stay-at-home mom. She was a soloist in the choirs from Washington, D.C. to Berlin, Germany. She was active in the MacDowell Music Club and the Chaminade Club of Jackson where she received recognition for 50 years of membership. She served as President of both Clubs, as well as the Past President’s Assembly. She has been a Bible teacher for many years. She was an avid reader and loved playing bridge and dominos with friends. Her church and her family were the most important things in her life.

Michael Gusack , son, and his wife Elizabeth and their daughters Jamie Gusack of Washington DC, and Natalie Sullivan and her husband Jonathan of Broomfield, CO.
Sandra Dowty, daughter and Spence, former son-in-law, of Madison, MS,
Grandson Neil Dowty, Grandson Matt Dowty and his wife Adelaide of Ridgeland, MS.
