

William Dennis Adams passed away on June 10, 2026. He was born on April 12, 1955, in the Scotland Community of Yazoo County to William D. “Bill” Adams and Neoma Davis Adams. He graduated from Benton Academy in 1973 where he played baseball, football, and ran track.
Dennis enjoyed a successful career in contracting, specializing in painting and carpentry. In his 40 years of business, he developed many long-lasting professional friendships. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and collecting guns. He was also a sportsman who was a dedicated fan of and coach to his children and grandchildren. He was especially fond of the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
He leaves behind and will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Austin (Candice) Adams and Jeremy (Julie) Adams; daughter Whitney (Matthew) Wilkerson; grandchildren, Katelyn (Carson) Spruiell, Jackson Adams; Hayden Adams, Shelby Adams, Piper Adams; Hannah Adams, and Adalyn Adams; sister, Sandra (David) Carpenter; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Wanda A. Hilderbrand.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Broadmoor Baptist Church with services to follow.
The family would like to thank everyone who visited with and prayed for him throughout his illness. We would also like to thank the staff at The Madison Health and Rehab and Parkway Health and Rehab for the care and dedication they showed him.
