Born on December 16th, 1983, and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, Allyn brought light and laughter to every place he went. He attended St. Joseph Catholic School, where he built lifelong friendships, and later went on to the University of Mississippi, where he was a proud member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. His Ole Miss years were full of camaraderie, laughter, and memories that shaped the rest of his life.
Allyn was a true country boy at heart with an unmatched love for the outdoors. Whether it was fishing, hunting, or simply being outside, his happiest moments were spent surrounded by God’s creation. He had a gift for striking up a conversation with anyone, and it never took long before he was sharing a hunting story or talking about his latest fishing trip. His easy smile, booming laugh, and warm spirit made him impossible to forget. But more than anything, Allyn was devoted to his family. He poured his heart into being a father to his six beautiful children. His greatest joy was spending time with them — teaching, laughing, and showing them what it means to live with faith, kindness, and strength.
Allyn is survived by his wife, Kim Rees Brown, his children, Malynn, Rees, Colt, Gage, Lola, Knox; his parents, William (Bill) Allyn Brown, Sr. of Ridgeland, and Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Neal of Flowood; and his sister, Shelley Brown Floyd (Patrick), and their children Aiden and Blair of Madison. Preceding him in death, Kenneth Allyn Brown, Mary Madick Brown, Helen Carr Neal, Robert Malcolm Neal. He also leaves behind countless extended family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory forever.
Allyn’s life was a reflection of his big heart, his deep faith, and his love for people and the outdoors. Though his time here was far too short, his impact will live on in the lives of all who knew him. We take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace in Heaven, and that one day we will be reunited with him.
