William Otis Nelson

William “Bill” Nelson, age 75, died Monday, January 10, 2011 at his residence in Brandon, MS. Services will be at 12:30 PM on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel on Highland Colony Parkway with Rev. Don Ray officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at the family cemetery outside of Louisville, MS. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 13, 2011 and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Nelson was born on February 1, 1935 in Brooklyn, MS to the late Otha and Lucille Chandler Nelson. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Mr. Nelson was the owner of Nelson’s Auto Electric for over 30 years. After retirement he enjoyed buying, selling and collecting antiques with his wife. He loved to hunt, fish and cook for his family.

Survivors include his wife, Jannette Nelson of Brandon, MS. Two sons, Larry Nelson and his wife Madonna of Germantown, TN and Joey Nelson and his wife Dovie of Brandon, MS. A brother, Otha Nelson of Tyler, TX and a sister Polly Duffy of Tulsa, OK. Four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
