Willie Cecil Daniels

He was born June 18, 1927, to Shelvie Eugene and Alma Rea Daniels. He was born and raised in Silver Creek, MS. Prior to graduating High School he enlisted in the US Navy and was a proud WWII veteran. After serving his country he returned home to graduate High School and attend Co-Lin Community College. He was employed by BellSouth and retired after 43 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Conchetta “Etta” Marie; his daughter, Angela Hammond; sisters, Jewel Hegebeth and Catherine Gregory; brothers, Lawrence Daniels and Travis Daniels.

He is survived by 3 children, Dr. Tony Daniels of Globe, AZ, Father Jerry Daniels of Chattanooga, TN, and Theresa Buchanan (Buck) of Madison, MS; one sister, Sharon Cox; six grandchildren, Mollie Thurmond (Ross), Natalie Buchanan, Blake Holliman (Jenna), Austin Nutt (Paula), Constantine Daniels, and Marina Daniels; and 5 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Parkway Funeral Home on Highland Colony Parkway in Ridgeland on February 4, 5 until 7 pm. A funeral service will be held on February 5, at 11 am with a visitation one hour prior.
