

Oscar Lane Nunley Sr., 81, of Ridgeway, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at his residence. He was born in McDowell, West Virginia on September 11, 1932 to the late Robert Elgin Nunley and Bessie Mae Smith Nunley. He was presently the owner and operator of Nunley’s Landscaping Service of Ridgeway. Oscar retired after more than thirty years with Nation Wide Homes.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five sisters, four brothers, one grandson and one son-in-law.
Surviving are his wife, Paula Willard Nunley of the home, four daughters, Juanita Nunley May of Collinsville, Frances B. Earles of Axton, Deborah Nunley Jordahl of Oak Grove Missouri and Diane Nunley Curtner of Holden, Missouri, three sons, Richard Mark Nunley of Martinsville, Oscar Lane Nunley, Jr., of Ridgeway and Brandon Michael Cook of Ridgeway, twelve grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 14, 2014 in the Community Funeral Service Chapel of Ridgeway with Pastor Jimmy Nester officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends two hours prior to services in the Community Funeral Service Chapel and other times at the home of Oscar’s in-laws, Edward and Judy Willard at 57 Seebrook Drive, Ridgeway, Virginia 24148.
