Ethel Mae Christine Reeves

Ethel Mae “Christine” Moore Reeves, 81, of Axton, died Monday, June 8, 2015 at Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden, NC. She was born in Spencer, on May 10, 1934, to the late Thomas David Moore and Ethel Mae Ore. She was retired after nine years with Sara Lee and had worked for Bassett-Walker Knitting prior to going to Sara Lee. Ethel dearly enjoyed working in the Kroger’s deli.

She was a member of Montgomery Moose Lodge and attended the Ridgeway Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie Gregory and her second husband, Julian Reeves, one son, Willard Gregory, Four sisters, Gertrude Shelton, Virginia Marcum, Louise Andrews and Catherine Frank, seven brothers, Thomas Moore, Junior Moore, Johnny Moore, Early Moore, Curtis Moore, Forrest Moore and Charles Moore.

Surviving are one daughter, Mildred Ann Gregory of Axton, Clinton Gregory of Nashville, TN., two sisters, Margaret Dillon of Spencer and Hazel Mills of Axton, one brother, George Moore of Fieldale, five grandchildren and Five great grandchildren .

The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Thursday, June 11, 2015 in the Community Funeral Service Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service which will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 12, 2015, in the Community Funeral Service Chapel with Kelly Ratcliff and Rev. Ed Hartman officiating. Entombment will follow in the Roselawn Abby.
