Joseph Price Motley

Joseph Price Motley, 46, of 257 Motley Road in Axton, died Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. He was born in Martinsville on March 25, 1965 to Leonard F. and Fern Grogan Motley of Axton. He had been employed by Bassett Walker Knitting and AC Furniture Company in Axton. He attended Mount Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Gloria Reynolds of Eden, NC and Elizabeth Self of Axton; two brothers, Dan Motley of Wilmington, NC and Tim Motley of Axton.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Community Funeral Services in Ridgeway with Rev. Gary Robertson and Rev. Michael Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 P.M. at Community Funeral Services and other times at the residence in Axton.
