Raymond W. Thomas

Raymond W. Thomas. 76, of 41 Eisenhower Road, Ridgeway, Virginia died Friday May 17, 2013 at Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden, NC. He was born February 9, 1937 to the late Taft Thomas and Bonnie Thomas. Raymond served in the United States Navy. He was retired after more than over twenty years of service with Lancer Furniture and a member of the Ridgeway Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Dorothy Fay Adkins Thomas of the home, one step daughter, Patricia Lynn Altizer of Coolridge, West Virginia, one son, Bruce Thomas of Lynchburg and one step-son, George Adkins of Huntersville, North Carolina and four sisters, Joyce Lovin and Jean Nesbitt both of Rockingham, NC, Phyllis Harvel of Star, NC and Pam T. Nobles of Orrum, NC.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in the chapel of Community Funeral Service of Ridgeway with Rev. Kenny Daniels officiating. Flag presentation will be provided by the Martinsville-Henry County Veterans Honor Guard. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends 6-7 P.M. Tuesday May 21, 2013 in the chapel of Community Funeral Service and other times at the home.
