Richard Lee Wyatt

Richard Lee Wyatt, 57, of 614 East Church Street, Martinsville, died Friday, August 27, 2010 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Martinsville on April 29, 1953 to the late Jesse Malcolm Wyatt and to Pauline Harbour Wyatt Merriman of Collinsville.

He was employed before becoming disabled with WM Bassett where he worked as a machine operator. He was a member of Clearview Baptist Church.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Michael Wyatt; paternal grandparents, Alfonso and Annie Wyatt; maternal grandparents, Matt and Ruth Harbour and step-paternal grandparents, William and Kate Merriman.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step-father, Jerry Merriman of Collinsville; one sister, Shirley W. East of Collinsville; one nephew; several cousins and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 30, 2010 in the chapel of Community Funeral Services with Pastor Carson Williams officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway.

The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:30 P.M. Sunday, August 29, 2010 in the Community Funeral Service Chapel and other times at the home of his mother, 2810 Daniels Creek Road, Collinsville.
