He was born in Patrick County on February 11. 1937 to the late Tobe Shelton Clark and Marie Tatum Clark. Ashby was a member of Concord United Methodist Church in Stuart.
He is survived by a special nephew, Christopher " Chris" Clark of Stuart.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Concord United Methodist Church with Minister Mark Clayton and Minister Keith Vernon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church beginning at 2:00 p.m.
