William Woodrow Altizer Sr.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Virginia Tiller, Jacqueline Lester, Edith Sharder, brother James Altizer, and son Danny Altizer.

He is survived by his daughter Gail Altizer Atkins Sowers of Martinsville, sons William Altizer, Jr of Martinsville and Philip Stinson of Richlands, Va. Sisters, Lorene Richardson of Bandy, Va, Lilly Mae White of Bandy Va, Dixie Boyd, of Cedar Bluff, VA. And brother Andy Altizer of Bandy Va., and nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Mr. Altizer attended Mercy Crossing Church. He worked at Hattress Yacht as a finisher for a number of years. He was also the owner and operator of Oakwood restaurant in Martinsville.

The funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday February 15, 2017, at Community Funeral Services, 109 Fontaine Drive, Ridgeway, Va, 24148. Visitation will be 5-7-p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Bandy, Va at the family cemetery, Thursday 12 noon.
