Vernie Weddle

Vernie L. Weddle,81 of Riley,IN passed away on 10-4-2011 at Union Hospital at 10:28PM.He was born in Riley,IN on 3-17-1930 to Ernest Weddle Sr. and Anna Ruth Price.He was owner and operator of Weddle Water Hauling.He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Anna Ruth Weddle,a sister Anna Mae,and a granddaughter Trisha Lund.He is survived by his wife of 62 years Pauline Weddle,a son Terry Weddle and his wife Charlynn of Riley,IN,a daughter Cheryl Lund and her husband Bill of Terre Haute,IN,brothers Ernest Jr. Weddle and Charles Weddle,his grandchildren,Chad Hendrix and wife Tamara,Clint Weddle and wife Katie,Kristen Nasser and husband Mark,greatgrandchildren Dylan and Brady Hendrix and his loyal dog Sadie.Vernie loved meeting people,hauling water and telling stories.Services will be Saturday at 1 PM at Mattox-Fox Funeral Home in Riley,IN with visitation Saturday from 11-1PM.Officiating will be Rev. Max Brunton and Rev. Harold Throckmartin.Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of The Wabash Valley and Terre Haute Humane Society.
