Today is your heavenly birthday and even though I know that I will see you again, I miss you here on earth.
On the day that everyone was saying goodbye at your services, I said my goodbye in my own fashion.
I said my temporary goodbyes and mourned as the sun went down over the ocean.  It was beautiful, just like you! On your best days, you reminded me of sunshine. So vibrant and filled with light. When I think of you, I think of all the things about you that made me smile…and sometimes they even bring me to laughter.
When the sun rises in the morning, it also makes me think of you. I imagine it being a part of you as you watch over all of us girls, your grandchildren and your great grandchildren. 
Give Poppop a hug from all of us and one of your (very missed) sloppy kisses on his cheek.

Three years ago today, still feels fresh like I still wait for you 100 calls in a row. You are not forgotten I have your picture on my wall to look at everyday several times a day. I love you mom. Todays a bitter sweet day, I’m sad but at peace.

I’ll love you forever, you are my reason. Since you’ve been gone I’ve been searching for my reason. I miss you.

Mom,

I can’t believe a year has passed us. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel today knowing today is the day you joined God in Heaven.  I’d say I feel the same as I did the moment I heard “your mother passed away” I was overseas and trapped with no way to get to you, I was helpless. I never felt the feeling that came over me that day, but everyday since I’ve felt that feeling and this void. I listen to your songs ever morning on my way to work, I remember the last time we jammed together and you danced and we laughed, I think of that day everyday. Mom your laugh ! I miss your laugh because when you laughed it was deep and it was felt, your laughter brought joy because it was real. I even miss you mad because we all knew you were mad.  But Mom what I miss the most is your hug, no one will ever match your hug, you didn’t hug often But when you did hug me again I knew it was real. I’ll be dancing for you today as I laugh and cry in the memories of you.

Not a day has gone by that I don’t think of you and wish that things were different. I miss you so much. I’d do anything to have you here yelling at me or laughing with me. You’re at peace and I know you’re walking the clouds of heaven enjoying the view from above, you loved to walk and run lol, but I’d catch you. I love you Mom. I hope to see you in my dreams soon.

I forgot to send you a Happy Birthday message on March 25th, but I’m sure you saw Edie and I celebrated you with beautiful gifts cards and a homemade German Chocolate cake. And We will always save you “The biggest piece!”

May the LORD hold you and give you smiles and joy in Jesus name Amen.  I remember the day I saw you in front of the dress shop on Madison and Arlington. We sat there on the bench talking about our beautiful children and our grandchildren Dustin and Mariah.

I met Mary in rubidoux, Calif. I have a story about the first time I saw her but it's only for her family. I realized after she was pointed out to me that she needed a frie nd and at that moment I knew we would be lifelong friends. We both were in mission jr. High school. I believe 7th  grade. We were inseperatable up until her marriage to Amy's father.  I was the maid of honor at her wedding. And at one time she dated my brother Rolfe and I dated her brother Mike. We managed to keep tabs on each other til I think both our lives kinda went South. I was just looking for her online hoping to find her this time( yes I tried to find her before..) wanting to surprise her and I was devastated to find that I missed her by 3 weeks.  I will miss my friend and hope that her life was a little more kinder to her than the last time we met. I will always remember our dinners at our favorite Chinese place in Riverside when I was a kid and your love for Entenmanns chocolate cake and driving around in that booger green Pinto.  Also, as Amy said you had the best snorty laugh, which Cami got from you. :)

Remembering your mom brings a smile to my heart. I remember her stunning blue eyes, golden blonde hair and warm playful smile. When she was happy she showed it and when she wasn’t you best better get outta her way. She wasn’t trying to keep up and please the world, which I sincerely admire and appreciate. She lived her life on her terms. Being a parent is not an easy feat, nor is it always pretty, but one thing for sure is that she loved her children and gave the gift of  aspiration to each of you. I pray for your strength and unity as you remember your mom and celebrate her spirit.   I am honored, fortunate, blessed and thankful for having met your beautiful mom.  

Dearest family of Mary Catherine Haight,
My family offer our condolences for the loss of Mary. She was married to our brother Kurt for a short time. We remember her beautiful smile and gentle being on her wedding day. She gave us an equally beautiful niece named Amy and we only had a short chance to get to know Michelle because I get married 3 months later and moved away from Riverside. Our prayers are with all.

Every time Mary was present it was an adventure. She was Predictably  Unpredictable. She was so sweet and treated me as her own family from the moment I met her. Her eyes were her most amazing trait . Not only the color, but the depth and the stories they told . I know she loved her children fiercely and was proud of each one. Prayers to all her babies and loved ones. May she rest peacefully. 🙏

Mom, I love you so much. I wish I could hug you one more time, I’d never let go. I will ALWAYS pray for ambulances passing by, give my hair from my brush to the birds for their nest, and always say my bed time prayers because you taught me that from a little girl. I promise to keep my sisters close. I will be the best mama to your future grand babies because I know that’s all you wanted. Rest easy with the angels, mama. You deserve the best of heaven❤️

Too many memories to share. I do want you to know I loved you unconditionally and that love I’ll carry with me for the rest of my Life Mom. Heaven is a bit louder now, have a Happy reunion with the Crazy Bakers.  

I was working at Albertson’s on Arlington about 13 years ago and who goes through my line?  Michelle’s mom.  I called for someone to relieve me from my lane and went to the side to talk with her.  She was very happy and all smiles as we talked about Michelle and little Timmy.  I told her to come back again the next day and I brought her copies of old pictures I had of Michelle with her pink hair, holding little Timmy.   She smiled big and I knew I made her day, and she made mine.  I never knew you as Catherine, only as Michelle’s mom.  I hope you are resting in peace.  

I love you Mom. I wish that you had a better life filled with happiness and serenity. I hope that you have found relief and peace. This is not goodbye but a new phase. I’ll see you again someday.
