

Acnoite Jackson was born February 7, 1920 to Tom and Willie Mae Jackson in Shreveport, Louisiana. Acnoite had two brothers, Robert L. and Coy Wray, three sisters Cora, Doris and Maude Ethel. He was affectionately known as “Ajax” by his sibling’s and close relatives.
Ajax accepted Jesus as his lord and savior at an early age. The family attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Shreveport.
After Ajax graduated from High School in 1938, he was inducted into the United States Navy in 1939 and served his country honorably until 1945. He earned his A.A. Degree from Los Angeles City College and later received his B.S Degree from California State University majoring in accounting. He was employed at the Department of Water and Power as a C.P.A and retired in 1985.
As an avid golf enthusiast, he was actively affiliated with the cosmopolitan Golf Club and the W.S.G.A Golf Associations. He loved to travel on golfing excursions; making many friends and was well like and respected by co-workers and peers.
On April 2, 2015 Acnoite went home to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Robert L. Jackson, Coy Wray Jackson, Cora Lee Hill, and Doris La Near. To cherish his precious memory he leaves behind his loving wife Eula Jackson and his devoted sister Maude Ethel Smith of Las Vegas, Nevada; a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and extended family and friends.
