Most men are blessed with one mother. I was blessed with two. 
Today we honor the woman who chose me as her own. She didn't have to, but she did — with open arms and a heart big enough for all of us. When life got hard, she was the steady hand that guided me through. 
 When I drifted toward trouble, she kept me in line with a look, a word, and love that never wavered. She taught me about God, not just in church on Sunday, but in how she lived every day. She planted family values deep in me, showed me what hard work looks like, and made sure I got my education by cheering me on through every late night and hard test.
 I never doubted she was praying for me, because her prayers were the quiet armor I carried.
She sacrificed without keeping score. If one of her children needed more, she gave more. If we needed less, she still gave everything. That’s who she was — devoted, hard-working, caring, and loving to the core. She mothered all of us the same way: fiercely, tenderly, completely.
I’m going to miss her more than words can hold. I'm sure my sisters Lisa and Barbara and all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren are for sure are going to miss her tremendously and my prayers go out to them all. "Exodus 20:12"
'Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.”
  We lose her phone calls, her advice, her laugh in the kitchen, and the way she made any house feel like home. But we don’t lose what she put in us.
We take comfort knowing she’s with Dad now, and with Richard, our eldest brother, and Sharon, our youngest sister. The family circle she helped build is together again in heaven. I can almost see her there — no more pain, no more sacrifice, just peace, watching over us.
Mom, thank you for choosing me. For raising me. For praying for me when I didn’t know I needed it. For showing me God, family, and work weren’t just words, but a way to live. 
We’ll keep living it. We’ll keep you in our hearts.
