Alex De Quiroz Amon, 60, of San Bernardino, California passed away in the presence of his wife and family on January 29, 2023. Alex was born on June 8, 1962 in Silang, Cavite, Philippines to Pedro Benitez Amon and Dr. Concordia De Quiroz Amon. He came to the United States in 1989 and married his wife Jocelyn on July 14, 1990. Alex and Jocelyn spent their days traveling, eating, and spending time with friends and family. Alex was a loving, caring, and devoted person, ensuring Jocelyn and his family in the Philippines were always taken care of. He did not have any kids of his own, but was a father figure to his many nieces and nephews. He always made everyone feel like they were family with his kind heart, generosity, and willingness to help all those around him. Anytime friends or family were in town, he would always drive them around treating them to “gala (outing/sightseeing) and good food.”| Alex kept everything in his life clean and orderly, from his appearance to his writing, and especially his cars. He was always more than punctual, every clock in the house was always ahead, you could depend on him to be on time for a party, and you knew he would never miss his flight because he was always early, too early. When you think of Alex, you remember his smile and personality that would light up a room. He always knew what to say to make you laugh, encourage you, and make you feel welcomed. You could picture him wearing his matching hat, tshirt, and shoes as he kept you up to date with stories and news. You could picture the love he had for his hometown with the Cavite sticker on the back of his cars, which he always maintained to look brand new. And the only enemy of Alex we ever knew was the rain because it meant he would have to clean the cars again. Alex is survived by his wife, Jocelyn Amon, his sister, Aurora Mantele, and remembered by all of his family and friends. A visitation for Alex will be held Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Monday, February 27, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary, 11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92505. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
