Aliw met her love and “soulmate,” Joey Casten. At the same time, she was a management trainee at US Naval Hospital Subic Bay and married on September 17, 1991. First, they started their life together in the United States in Los Alamitos, California. At the same time, her husband was stationed in Naval Hospital Long Beach, California. They then moved to Riverside, California, and Japan, where they were stationed for several years. After moving back to California and twenty-six years of her husband’s honorable service, they finally settled in Rancho Belago, California.
Aliw served her community as a nurse, assistant teacher, wife, mother, and friend and served at the VA Hospital before her passing. She was a creative woman who loved decorating and designing her home, working on various arts and crafts, and cooking for her family and friends. She always loved to share stories about her day and bring smiles and joy to the people she interacted with. She always thought of others before herself. She was an excellent example of subtleness, care, and humility. Most importantly, she’s a strong believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, a member of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, and a pioneering disciple/organizer of a Harvest Small Group Bible Study.
Aliw is survived by her husband Joey Casten and her four children Josh, Caleb, Elijah, Sarah, her adopted children/nephews Reyhan and Rohan, and her daughter-in-law Kathylee. She is also survived by her mother Erna and siblings Juan and Maya. She is loved and adored by the many friends she has made over the years worldwide and back home. She is also treasured by the MoVal Bible Study Group members, to whom she served abundantly with generosity, care, and love.
We celebrate the life of Aliw Sena Casten, as she is now rejoicing and worshiping Our Father in Heaven. She is now in the loving and caring hands of our Lord and Savior Jesus (Yeshua) Christ!
