Beats touched many people over the course of her life and will be profoundly missed. She is survived by her Husband Robert Scheurer “Bob”, their 5 children, Mark, Julie, Diane, John, Jim, their spouses, 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, two brothers, a sister, and her many nieces and nephews.
Her passion for music was demonstrated throughout her life, most notably through her singing in the John T Hamilton Chorale where she traveled to Hong Kong and London. Beats and Bob treasured their time traveling the country during their years in retirement. They loved to visit family and friends along the way. Beats would often suggest a game of cards with anyone willing, even playing solitaire to pass the time.
Beats was an avid reader, never found without a book nearby. She was an excellent seamstress, crafting everything from clothes to quilts for her loved ones. In recent years she found great joy in knitting, and would do so while watching Fox News, or listening to Rush Limbaugh. She was a wonderful baker; she always had a freshly baked “treat” ready for family and friends to enjoy when they stopped by for a visit.
Beat’s grandchildren and great grandchildren were the “center of her world” and rounded out her life. Her face lit up with the most beautiful smile when any of them came to visit Grandma Bea and Grandpa Bob.
Her memory will live in our hearts & minds forever. We are all truly blessed to have had such an amazing woman in our lives.
