Beverly Joyce Murphy, beloved wife, mother and dear friend to many, was born March 8th, 1947 in Meridian Mississippi. Upon graduating high school there, she moved to Los Angeles, California where she met and later married Rev. Stephen J. Murphy, a police officer with the LAPD, in 1972. From this union which lasted a loving 44 years, two children were born. Her husband, Rev. Murphy preceded her in death on May 30, 2018.

Beverly worked in early childhood education as a preschool teacher and preschool director for over 20 years. She was a dedicated servant of Christ and loved serving the people of His church. She loved and cherished the position of being a First Lady, with her sociable personality greatly assisting her husband in his role as a Pastor. They were cherished members of Trinity Baptist Church of Los Angeles, CA for over 35 years, with her husband having served there in the role of associate Pastor. She was also blessed to serve and lead the Baptist Church of All Nations in Taunton, MA, with husband who served as Pastor there for over ten years. Beverly loved her friends and family deeply, and they, along with her service to the family of Christ were the center of her life. She was a wonderful and dedicated mother to her two children and a cherished and giving sister, friend, an aunt. She also had a kInd heart for animals of all kinds. She is beloved and will be missed greatly, and her personable spirit, sense of humor and engaging ways will never be forgotten.

Beverly is survived by her two children, Brian Murphy and Erica Murphy, both of Long Beach, CA.....Her two sisters Mrs. Helen Wyche and Mrs. Maggie Blakley....Her Brother, Mr. Henry Baxter....And a host of loving Nieces, Nephews and Cousins......Both of her parents, along with her husband have preceded her in death.
