Bob Marks passed away at Kaiser Hospital, Riverside, on March 8, 2015, after a long illness. He grew up in Los Angeles. His family moved to Hemet where he met & married his wife Mary. They were married for 58 years until her untimely death in 2005. He joined the Riverside Police Dept in 1951. He was known for his integrity, leadership, mentorship & his sense of humor. He taught Police Science classes at Riverside Community College and retired as Lieutenant, in 1975. He was an avid reader and enjoyed family, friends, music, movies, the desert and the beach. Always wanting to make a difference, he contributed to multiple charities such as Wounded Warriors and World Wildlife Fund. He is survived by his younger brother Ron Marks, son Dan and his wife Holly, and daughter Debbie Marks Christmas and her husband Rick and five loving grandchildren, Jason Marks, Michelle Brothers, Darcy Marks, Robbie Marks Christmas and Danny Marks Christmas. A memorial service commemorating his “End of Watch.” will be held on April 10 2015 2:00 at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary.
