Cecilia Anne Camacho

of 69 after battling Cancer for 17 years. Born in El Paso, Texas on December 1st to a young Air

Force couple, Raymond and Hilda Camacho, she was the eldest of 6 children. This is where

she begins her travels: El Paso to Florida, onto California to New Hampshire, back to California

to Nebraska, then to Panama, finally settling in Riverside in 1973. Cecilia attended schools

throughout the United States; she graduated from Moreno Valley High School in 1974, then

went onto the University of California at Riverside where she received her Bachelor’s degree in

Music. Worked for awhile, but later went back to school and graduated the Masters Program in

Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino in 1991. She began her final

career with the Superior Court of California, Riverside County as a Mediator aka Child Custody

Recommending Counselor. She retired in 2019.

Cecilia was blessed with many gifts, but mostly music which she shared with everyone; her

family, friends, Concert choirs, Madrigals, and numerous church choirs. She was a devoted

member of St. Andrew’s Newman Center where she directed and sang in the choir since 1975.

Cecilia is survived by her siblings, Richard, Christine, Gilbert (wife Shannon), Robert (wife

Holly), and Raymond; nieces and nephews Robbie, Rhianna (wife Serena), and Ray; and

Godchildren Matthew Martinez-Grimes and Claire Edwards. She is also survived by her uncle,

Rudy Camacho; 37 cousins, friends, and cat – Savannah. She was preceded into Heaven by

her parents Raymond and Hilda Camacho and two of her closest friends, Candi Hammond and

Gilda Warden.

Rosary/Mass and Reception will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 11:00 am – 4 pm at

St. Andrew’s Newman Center, 105 W. Big Springs Road, Riverside, CA 92507.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
