CHARLES L. PETERS The family of Charles L. Peters is saddened to announce his passing on November 1, 2015 in Riverside, CA. Known to his family and friends as "Charlie" or "Pete", he was a longtime resident of Riverside, CA. Charlie was born on July 24, 1925 in Jacumba, CA. Growing up in Banning, CA Charlie met and married his high school sweetheart, Betty, his wife of 65 years. Charlie served in the Navy for four years before beginning a long and fulfilling career with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department in 1952. He retired from the Department in 1981. Charlie was preceded in death by his wife Betty. He is survived by his two daughters, Linda and Sue; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Acheson and Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary at 7944 Magnolia Avenue in Riverside, CA will be assisting with the services. Viewing will be on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Chapel Service from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA at 10:30 a.m., gathering at Staging Area 3.
