Daniel Joseph Williams

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel J. Williams, 61, of Surprise, AZ. On July 15, 2026, Daniel passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Daniel was a devoted and loving husband, the most amazing dad, the best “Papa”, and a beloved brother, uncle, and friend to so many.

Daniel grew up in Massachusetts with four brothers, all of whom loved playing sports and cheering on their favorite teams, the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. The brotherhood, laughter, and memories they shared remained a cherished part of his life.

Daniel proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, retiring after an honorable military career that took him and his family around the world. His assignments and travels included Spain, Germany, Belgium, Louisiana, New Mexico, Nevada, and California. Following his military retirement, Daniel continued serving his community with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Wildlife Services, in Phoenix, AZ, where he worked for 17 years before retiring.

Travel remained one of Daniel's greatest passions, especially when shared with his beloved wife. Of all the places he visited, Rome, Italy, was his favorite. Even while battling cancer, Daniel could not be stopped, he took his family on a cruise to Mexico, as well as fulfilling his bucket list trips with his wife to Ireland and Egypt. Daniel’s final bucket list was fulfilled as he cheered on his Red Sox’s one last time from the Green Monster at Fenway Park.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Connie; their five children, Gloria (Ingrid), Arthur (Maria), Stephen (Tatiana), Daniel (Brenna), and Alexander (Kayla); their nine grandchildren, Briana, Erika, Vincent, Dahlia, Evelyn, Gianna, Julian, Giancarlo, and Isabella; and his brother, Robert.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Lea, and his brothers, Lawrence, Joseph, and Kevin.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who offered prayers, love, and support throughout Daniel's illness. His legacy of faith, service, perseverance, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
