it’s been 3 years when I lost a loving husband, confidant, friend, a dad to our little dog Buddy who is still with me I will never forget our years together and I still miss him a super good guy to friends and family

Dave was the best.  I knew him and met him when he installed my Culligan Water System back in 2001 (both Osmosis and Soft Water units).  He was "the guy" who knew the history of the units he had serviced over the years and knew his product well and his customer.  He knew what to do to provide the best customer experience I've ever had!  He listened and followed up to make certain all was well with his work.  He was truly one of a kind!  We recently learned he had passed away and was saddened to hear this; he was way too young!
He could of written a book on Customer care and service and as well on ethics and professionalism.  Our condolences to the family as this kind of person is truly hard to find and one in a million.

I can't believe it's been a year since Uncle Dave has been here. When I think of him, I remember his kindness and love for his pets, his keen observation of others, a quick laugh with a Bud and a cig, delicious prime rib roasts for holiday gatherings and his love of wearing Hawaiian shirts and Jean jackets. Whether I agreed with his politics or not, Dave was a solid individual and an original. Always consistent and there for me along with my Aunt Dee a few times in my life when I needed their help. For this I will always be grateful and will miss seeing him during the holidays.

I don’t know if I will be the last to share a memory of you Dave but I know you will be greatly missed by me and everyone you had in contact with all your life you are one of a kind people person you like everyone and anybody you had in contact with.you are loving and thoughtful husband and partner in everything that we do everyone that you left behind love you and miss you Rest In Peace my husband.

Thanks to everyone for the great service yesterday.  I spoke a bit yesterday but didn’t say much.  I have so many memories , here’s one. When Dave was twelve he got a paper route. He introduced me to his boss and even tho I was too young (eleven) I got one too. I remember at that age we took our own money and by ourselves went out for a steak dinner. I’m grateful I got some closure yesterday. God bless all friends and family, Ernie 

Dave was a good man.  He was always nice to me and my family and for that I am forever grateful.  There are many memorable times, but one of the most recent was when we were teaching his grandson Dylan how to drive on the freeway for the first time.  

Dave and I were relaxed while giving Dylan pointers about maintaining his speed, checking his mirrors etc.   Dylan on the other hand was “White knuckling” the steering wheel down the I-15 between two tractor trailers.  It was an awesome memory that the three of us will never forget.  

God bless you Dave and thank you for sharing many smiles and laughs with us.  Till we meet again my friend.


What I do know is that Dave loved his family, Dee, and his dog Buddy.  

Dave was very proud family man.  He was especially proud of Dee's daughter, son in law, and of course Dylan.  How do I know this? Because every time he came to our home whether to service Culligan or to celebrate, that is all he talked about.  The stories of Dylan growing up with them always gave him stories to proudly share. 

Dave had a big heart, huge.  At every family gathering he would always call me to see if the usual shrimp cocktail platter and cake from Vons would be ok to bring. He loved family gatherings and would always comment how he wished we would get together more often. If you looked around the room, Dave was most always deeply engaged with someone in conversation, intent on listening and asking questions, engaged.  He cared about the kids who had moved away or were at work, asking about each one and making sure they were doing ok. It pained him to see so many of our family members passing away, he called me a couple months ago just to talk about this.  His purpose was not to talk of his pain, but the pain of the people left behind.  

Dave was such a devoted worker. On his trips to our home he very proudly talked of his company, his job, his customers, and the boss he liked so much.  He would ask me each time if I knew XYZ neighbor with the specific animals they had or the type of jobs they held.  When he got a new company truck he wanted me to go outside and tour all the compartments.  Culligan should be proud of the many years Dave devoted and eagerly represented his employer. He loved his career and couldn’t fathom retirement. 

I am thankful the service will be live streamed, it does not remove my sorrow for not able to be there in person.  I am with you in spirit and pray for God’s comfort as you mourn and celebrate Uncle Dave. 

We are all so sorry to hear david  has passed away. We will all miss Dave and  the great times we had together with his friends and family. With are deepest sympathy, the Wright's. 

I was only a 15 year old teenager when you met my Mom in 1985.  I have countless memories since then....  from you always picking me up late at night at my first job (Wienerschnitzel) because my Mom didn't like driving at night,  teaching me how to drive a stick shift on your brand new candy apple red Toyota pickup truck, eventually helping me get my very first car - that used brown Dodge Omni (that I quickly blew the head-gasket out) and you felt sorry for me and helped me get another car.... all the times you drove up with my Mom to Northern California after I moved away to see me and Silas and even that last time you came up with Mom to see Isaiah as a newborn before we eventually moved away to GA.
I can go on and on..

I appreciate you for being such a faithful partner and husband to my Mom, taking care of her, and loving her in your special way for the past 35 years.  She is really missing you!

We all mourn for you Dave and there is a piece of our hearts missing now.  How we all wish things could have been different and you were still here with us! 

I am thankful for the love and companionship you have given my mother for the last 35 years and for being there for our family.  Even though I was an adult already when you met my mother, you have been the closest to a father figure in my life.  

I know we will all be reunited in heaven someday and hear you cracking your jokes again! Until then, we will make sure everything is taken care of here with my Mother and Buddy.  You will truly be missed!

It’s still so hard to believe that you are no longer with us. For as long as I can remember, you have always been a constant figure in my life, and many of my childhood memories include you. You and my grandma were always there for me whenever I needed it, and for that I am forever thankful. Thank you for taking care of my grandma for all these years, we will continue to love and care for her.  

I hope you are at peace and am glad you are no longer in pain. Goodbye, Dave.

Your laugh and the little snort you made . Made it even just as funny..
You had a story about every experience you lived.. the stories were  so cool. 
The most craziest thing I remember was I’d ask you about a customer. You would go on and on about what kind of work the husband and wife did for a living, the type of animals they had. Then I would ask about the equipment you would say “ oh!! I don’t remember “ . We would all start to laugh. 
What I got out of it .Was you were a people person you would totally made a personal connection  with your customers.
I will definitely miss your BBQ chicken wings. I remember you telling me every time you gave me a batch “ hey!! Call me later and tell me how they tasted” , and if I didn’t call you would call and ask me. 
I always told you that you should have a restaurant. I also remember your sandwiches. You would kind of complain “ I had to wake up early to make them” I would say “ Dave you don’t need to make them” and you would say “ yeah! I know, but I want to” . Those sandwiches will also be missed. Not as much as you my FRIEND..
A day hasn’t gone by that I haven’t wanted to call you and say hi.  



“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” ‭‭2 Thes‬ ‭3:16‬. Dearest Dave, I pray you are free of pain both physically and mentally.

 Thank you for being faithful to my grandma and to our family. Thank you for teaching me what country music is, how to marinate a steak with a can of Budweiser, and for being the first man to show me what RV’ing was. I saw snow for the first time on one of our trips. Thank you for showing me how to be kind to animals and how to properly hose down a driveway.  

You taught me so many things that I find myself doing to this day. Your legacy will live on through what you taught all of us. We love you and pray you’re resting in peace. Don’t worry about Grandma or Buddy we’ll all make sure they’re taken  care of.
