Born on 26 February 1952 in Quincy, CA. Grew up in Riverside, CA. Attended Victoria Elementary School, Matthew Gage Junior High School and Riverside Poly High School, graduating in 1971. Graduated from Arizona State University in 1975 with a degree in history. Commissioned in 1975 as an Armor officer in the United States Army. Served at Fort Knox, KY, Fort Hood, TX, Camp Casey, Republic of Korea, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, Johnston Atoll and the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, CA. Transferred to the United States Army Reserve and continued supporting Army training as a civilian contractor/GS employee at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Chaffee, AR and Fort Polk, LA and finally again at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, CA. He was a lifelong avid scuba diver and Civil War reenactor. Passed away on 25 June 2025 of natural causes at his home in Hesperia, CA. He is survived by his brother James, sister-in-law Sharan and two nieces, Lauren and Amanda.
