Delia “Chona” Vasquez Diaz was born on May 17, 1958, in Riverside, California. She passed away on November 7, 2025, at the age of 67. Chona was a lifelong resident of Riverside, California, where she built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family.
With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of Delia—beloved mother, mother in law, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She was known for her kindness, strength, humor, and boundless love. Delia brought joy and laughter to everyone around her and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Delia’s spirit was full of life—she loved music, dancing, and being surrounded by her family. She was a wonderful friend, a “crazy Tia,” an amazing wife, and above all, the best mother her children could have ever asked for. Through good days and bad, she never gave up. She taught her family the true meaning of resilience, love, and forgiveness—always keeping her doors open and her heart even wider.
Delia had an especially deep love for her family—her children, nieces, nephews, and her granddaughter, Everly, who brought her endless happiness. She gave everything she could, making sure her loved ones had what they needed, even if it took time.
We take comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with her father, husband and her grandson, Kevin. She is free from pain, free from the struggles of this world, and dancing once again among the clouds.
