Domonic was always around when I was little. I remember him being so kind, often playing with my sisters and I and willingly sharing whatever he had with us. 

As I got older, Domonic was still always around. He was very outspoken and often shared his opinions on my life and future plans. At the time, I viewed his questions as an annoyance. As I’ve gotten older, however, I realize that he was just being protective and I appreciate that he cared enough to be involved in my life. 

Domonic was consistent, always kind, loving and interested in others. I loved that about him and will miss him tremendously.

I considered Dominic as a son. I remember when he was growing up, he and I, and my two sons, would wrestle around. It was something we did on a regular until one day they got to big for me to beat them and I realized just how fast they all were growing up. 
I always appreciated how much Dominic enjoyed spending time with family and how caring he was. He was always positive and tried to focus on the good in every situation.
I will miss having him around. 

I always considered Dominic to be a child of mine because our families spent so much time together when he was growing up. I loved having him around and watching him grow into the man that he became. He was loving, fun, and kind. He believed in the importance of family and would always show up whenever I needed him. “HEY AUNTY” was forever the way he greeted me! It was something I came to know, expect, and love almost as much as the conversations that would always follow. His laughter was one of kind as it had a way of bringing everyone together and filling every space he was in. 

I was so proud of how he embraced being a father and loved hearing him talk about his children and all of the “grey hair” they gave him. 

I will miss him and I look forward to seeing him again when Jesus returns.

Although I have never met Dominic Hurst in person, he has touched my heart in so many ways and I would like to share this story with his family.  His mother and I are best friends and over time we found out through many of our conversations that we both had a second son named Dominic. That both of our son's had two children, first a daughter and then a son, which they adored and loved beyond measure and that their lives mirrored each other. It was like her Dominic was my Dominic and vice versa. 
When either of us would have a particular dark or dreary day we knew just what to do. We would talk about our Dominic's.
We recount the funny childhood stories, the loving fathers they became, the charming, caring and helpful men they were.  And of course both of our Dominic's were MAMA BOYS. 

And the dark or dreary day.....were filled with laughter, joy and incandescent happiness. 
It showed me that you don't have to be physically present to bring joy, that the spirit is enough. 

Cousin Domonic you will be missed.  Your memories will forever be in our hearts, minds and souls.  Tell the Childs family we miss them soooo much.  Granny, Grandpa, Uncle Will, Auntie Kitty, Tosha, Shawn.  And I really need for you and Demetrius to behave and keep order up there in heaven.  See you all on the other side.  We love you sooooo much!!!

Even in this time of grief, we pray that your heart may forever carry with it the many blessings Dominic brought and memories of love you all shared.

For the past few months Domonic & I was joined @ the hip 24/7. We did everything together. There wasn't a day we was apart except 2 days before he left. Domonic wasn't just my kids father, he was my best friend. I think of him and miss him every day that passes by. I miss our long talks our uncontrollable laughs our inside jokes even our disagreements. 20 years of ups & downs. I wouldn't change any of it. We were so young when we started we didn't know what we were doing. This time around was different. I couldn't stay mad @ him. He grew to be understanding,patient,accommodating, loving and supportive. He always made sure i had what i needed & that i was comfortable. He believed in me & all my dreams and made me feel special & beautiful. Im so lucky tho I get to see him everyday when I look into our children's eyes. I felt my heart break January 18th. Domonic took a piece of me that day. I will never forget & relive that day forever. I have never felt this type of pain ever. But I also never felt this type of love before. In my heart Domonic will stay forever.

Domonic always genuinely cared for people. He was a great person to get parenting advice from. Always so compassionate and friendly. I don't have a single negative memory from any or all my interactions with him. Truly a rare gem to have ever crossed paths with. Condolences to his family and friends, a real angel to have walked among us on this Earth.

So so sorry for this great loss. No human words can satisfy.  May God’s great Mercy and Grace carry you through these days. Praying His great Love will lift you up and bring comfort. I am deeply saddened by the passing of Domonic. He is the father of my grandchildren, Ahni and Domonic and although my other granddaughter Ahseon was not his he treated her as if she was.  Domonic was loving and caring and  I felt like he was a son to me. His warm and engaging smile will forever be in my heart.

Domonic will forever hold a special place in my heart. He was my son‘s best friend and very dear to me. He was always so very polite calling me  Ms. Hill and had such a wonderful bright smile! I appreciate he and Jeff’s lifelong friendship.

The beautiful part about friendship is that we choose the friends that become family. Dominic was a brother to me. From Northridge Elementary kids to grown men with a family  & responsibilities, Domonic and I remained close through the years.

Domonic was one smooth lil boy. I say lil because me and Domonic were boyfriend and girlfriend in 6 th grade. He was so sweet and respectful. I remember we would call each other all day after school and Paul would always make him get off the phone so he could use it. I remember my dad telling me he liked this kid because of the way he asked to speak to me on the phone. We went our separate ways till 2000 when he filed my taxes for me and it was so good to catch up I’m very saddened by this news and I pray for everyone that had him in their everyday lives because I know his smile and swagg was always a mood. he will definitely be missed and always remembered 💞
