Dora Torres Castro

Arrangements under the direction of Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, Riverside, CA.DORA T. CASTRO Age 87, of Riverside, passed away suddenly of illness on January 24, 2011. She was born on June 14, 1923 and was a life-time resident of Riverside. She married her childhood sweetheart, Tony Castro, on June 28, 1942. Dora retired from Rohr Industries after 27 years as a parts identifier. She was a devout Catholic and attended St. Anthony's Church. She enjoyed bowling and watching tennis. She loved visiting the casinos and playing a good hand of blackjack. She shared her love for life with everyone she met and will be truly missed by all. Dora is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Sevriano (Tony) Castro; three daughters, Arlene Rodriguez of Riverside, Cathy Thornby of Dana Point and Toni Crockett of Ocean Beach; 5 granddaughters, Tina, Michelle, Shanna, Lacy, Cori and one great-granddaughter, Brianna. She was preceded in passing by her father, Louis Torres and mother, Andrea Larra; brother, Ralph; 4 sisters, Delores, Lucy, Eloisa and Jessie. Funeral service at St. Anthony's Church, Tuesday, 2/1/11 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Olivewood Memorial Park.
