

Evelyn is survived by her husband Danilo Peji; her children: Maria Danilynne Peji Trujillo and Bradley Peji; and siblings: Romeo, Feliciano, Celestina, and Efren.
Evelyn was born in Tiaong, Quezon, Philippines on November 16, 1949 to Veronica and Marcelo Areglado. She graduated from Sacred Heart College in Lucena City, Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree and majored in Banking and Finance in 1970.
In 1984, Evelyn and Danilynne joined Danilo in the United States to support his military service with the U.S. ARMY. Danilo’s U.S. ARMY career would see the family stationed at North Carolina, Germany, and finally Colorado, where the family settled after Danilo’s retirement.
Evelyn would eventually retire from her own career with the U.S. federal government after 16 years with the Department of Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS).
After retirement, Evelyn and her husband would keep themselves busy by maintaining their beautiful home and completing DIY projects. Evelyn enjoyed watching her favorite television crime programs, such as Dateline and 48 Hours: Mystery. As an avid home chef, Evelyn enjoyed cooking both traditional Filipino food and American food for her family.
Evelyn was known for her amazing heart and persistent desire to care for others. She was a kind and beautiful soul and even through her own life’s obstacles, she selflessly made a path for family and friends. Evelyn’s cooking, laughing, and beautiful smile will truly be missed.
Funeral services will be held on February 27, 2021 and burial on March 2, 2021.
